If you already have a sump pump, that’s great, but you still need to maintain it. Make sure your sump pump is working properly and have it inspected at least once a year.

This may seem odd, but keeping your yard manicured is more than just curb appeal—it can prevent flooding, too! Inspect your basement frequently
