If a customer has either a pleasant experience or the opposite, one of the first things they will do is leave a review on either Google, Yelp, Facebook, or the company’s website. Although some of the reviews are incentivized, a lot of them are genuine and give helpful feedback to a potential customer’s decision. Most people are more likely to choose a company to work with if there is social proof that other people were happy with the services that company provided for them. A positive review that may catch the eye of the potential consumer would read something like: “Thank you for helping turn a disaster into a manageable situation. This team was there immediately and completed the work in the most efficient and professional manner.”

Just like companies are hoping for consumer reviews, consumers are also expecting companies to take the time to respond to their reviews, both good and bad.
